Why Coffee?
In all my travels to Central and South America, coffee fields have always intrigued me. My first trip to Central America was in Costa Rica, back in 1993. At that time I was working in the banana plantation industry. The more I traveled to Costa Rica, I realized this is where I want to retire. So I bought a home there in Escazu.
As I’ve spent more time in South America for example, Medellin, Colombia, I understand why coffee grows so well in that environment. It’s because at higher altitudes and cooler climates near the equator the growth progress of the coffee plant tends to slow down. At a slower growth rate the plants focus more on production. The coffee plant then devotes its energy to bean production which in turn produces much more of the sugars that creates the amazing tasteful attributes in your favorite coffee. This is why I chose these two origins for my coffee source.
Fresh coffee all year round.
Red Berry Aromas chose Costa Rica for the northern hemisphere and Colombia for the southern hemisphere to provide coffee as our source. Two reasons, the coffee in the northern hemisphere is harvested in the Spring, and the coffee in the southern hemisphere is harvested in the Fall. This is strategic to bring fresh coffee to your home all year round. Plus, we want to concentrate on only two origins to perfect the taste they have to offer.
I thank you for stopping by to read about our coffee and more importantly thank you for your business!
